Switchable graphics solutions duel it out, AMD ends up looking like a chump

At thiѕ point, NVIDIA’s Optimus switchable graphics аre old hat, but AMD іs rеlаtіvely nеw tо the game оf packing dual GPUs in a single laptop. AnandTech decided to pit thе two solutions agаinst еасh other and, well, lets јust sаy AMD doеsn’t comе оut lookіng sо great. The biggest problem appears to be stability.

While performance iѕ acceptable (though, nоt quіte аѕ good аs it shоuld be) the site hаd trouble gettіng fоur оf thе supposedly 16 supported games to switch betwеen thе integrated and discrete GPUs аs advertised. Regular driver updates, not to mention a bit mоre testing, cоuld solve the issues, but for now NVIDIA’s Optimus simply outclasses itѕ AMD counterpart. Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit, what’s the difference?

When installing windows 7 a question comes across that whether i should go for 32 bit or 64 bit. Some geniuses also confuse between 32 bit and 64 bit by assuming that “64″ being greater should perform better. Okay so here is the deal, first of all it is not necessary that installing 32 bit system would boost up your system’s speed, until your processor is compatible with it. It is only advisable to run a 64 bit windows system if your ram is 4GB or more.

In more detail, both versions of the operating systems are developed to cope up with the performance of two classes of computers. if the computer has a ram more than 4GB this means a similar operating system is required. The 64 bit version is basically further developed to manage the massive ram. so if you have a computer with a 4 or more GB ram this operating will improve your per process limit therefore allowing you to manage large number of programs running at the same time.

32 bit operating system is specially designed to cope up with systems offering lesser multi tasking. Therefore, if anyone has system with less than 4 GB ram, 32 bit system is best.

Now what happens if you install 64 bit on a computer with a ram less than 4GB. Well I have actually tried this and one thing you immediately observe is that your data transfer speed decreases, in addition computer also gets stuck up sometimes. Apart from the instant attacks, a slow poisoning runs side by side as you browse on the internet, yes the computer is open to viruses.

Furthermore, there is also a problem with the installation of drivers in these different versions. Applications might just work well but when it comes to other drivers there is always an option of whether your operating system is 32 bit or 64 bit.

So here is it, I hope now you know which version to choose if you re-install your windows next time

HP switches to AMD!!!

Well after all that effort to beat Intel since a long time the 32 year hard work finally pays off as HP in its press release announced that the new HP series following the previous one will feature AMD processors.
Well this is breaking news for three entities: the HP fans, the AMD company, the Intel. Intel has been part of HP for a long time and it might come to Intel as a shock that HP decided to go for AMD.

As previously said that processors don’t have loyal customers; if at an instant one sees a better processor as the current one he is using, offering the same price, only an idiot will stick to his previous version. This therefore always gives room for processor companies for innovation and refining the product and there is always an opportunity regardless of the competitors market share. Therefore, AMD took the challenge and came up with a new processor called “bulldozer”. I won’t go into the details of the processor but it has an 8 core processor boosting up speed and giving incredible graphic experience. In addition to the extreme performance the AMD turbo core technology is battery friendly to. Ins short, better than COREi7.

Recently, HP in a press release talked about improving the performance of their products, giving the users the best experience and decided to go for a shift in the processor manufacturing company they go for; yes I am talking about a shift from Intel to AMD. Furthermore, this change is not only contained in one series but all of them. G series, pavilion series, pro book series, all of them will feature the new AMD processors raising the speed to a double.
The interesting news for all those HP users is that the new technology comes cheap and the prices have almost stayed the same. Starting at $470 and going to $700 you can buy almost any laptop of HP.

Well there is a status on facebook I came up across “the greatest migration in the world was from orkut to facebook” well let’s see whether migration from Intel to AMD makes the second one.
